DIRECTORATE CONTENT

The Maastricht Upper Area Control Centre (MUAC) is an international non-profit air navigation service provider, operated by EUROCONTROL on behalf of four States – Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The Centre ensures that aircraft flying in the upper airspace (above 24,500 feet or 7.5 km) over the Benelux and north-west Germany can do so safely and efficiently. In order to manage this busy and complex airspace, MUAC is organised on a multinational, cross-border basis.

Within MUAC, the Stakeholder Management Service is responsible for developing and managing the Stakeholder Management Plan (STAMP), developing and managing relations with all MUAC stakeholders, managing MUAC communication, policy, plans and delivery, and managing public relations, media presence and corporate image.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will have to:

  • develop and administer the STKM environment in SharePoint (e.g. contacts, stakeholder reports, iSTAMPS, action lists, reference documents, etc.);
  • assist in the development of bespoke communication campaigns, plans and packages in support to projects and programmes, including copywriting and editorial work (i.e. presentations, audio-visual initiatives, headlines, brochures/flyers, speeches, fact sheets, annual reports, etc.);
  • create and maintain communications in line with business activities and communication plans;
  • coordinate the production/regular updates of Individual STKM Plans (iSTAMPS) with iSTAMP managers and monitor actions;
  • coordinate the production of individual customer analyses and reports with different departments;
  • develop and administer internal and external stakeholder communications and collaborative platforms (intranet, social media, extranet) as well as to act as community manager;
  • develop and implement stakeholder marketing and corporate branding;
  • organise and/or coordinate meetings, visits and, events with internal and external stakeholders;
  • assist with internal and/or external satisfaction surveys and coordinate resulting actions;
  • propose measures to improve communications and relations with internal and external stakeholders;
  • perform any other tasks in line with the main purpose of the job.

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • Post-secondary education attested by a diploma (i.e. Bachelor degree or similar) in a relevant subject (e.g. marketing, communications, etc.);
  • In addition, minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience;
  • Experience with document management platforms;
  • Knowledge and/or experience with aviation/Air Traffic Management;
  • Experience in customer relationship management;
  • Drafting skills (English);
  • Software knowledge (professional level): open source social-collaboration software; open source Content Management Systems (e.g. Drupal); Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. ); Adobe tools (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat etc.); Atlassian; SharePoint; Prezi;
  • Communication: adapts communication to different situations and audiences;
  • Team work: participates as a team member;
  • Customer focus: builds and maintains effective customer relations;
  • Result focus: strives to meet work expectations;
  • Creativity & innovation: innovates in the workplace;
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;

  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this post, a thorough knowledge of English (oral/written) is required. Knowledge of French is required to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • An initial selection will be made by a Selection Committee on the basis of the candidates’ qualifications and experience. Thereafter, those candidates considered suitable may be invited to assessment and interviews;

  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of three years pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being confirmed in the post, he/she will be required to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months;
  • This notice may be used for the recruitment of similar posts, for a period of one year following the establishment of the reserve list;
  • The selected candidate will be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised job bracket;
