Postdoc for Developmental Neuro-Oncology
Our division has analyzed molecular profiles of human primary medulloblastoma, one of the most common malignant brain tumors in children using the next generation sequencing technologies (whole genome sequencing, ChIP-seq, methylome sequencing). Based on these accumulated informative data, my group is currently investigating molecular mechanisms underlying formation of medulloblastoma using mouse models. Fascinating questions in medulloblastoma biology are what oncogenic impact(s) drive their tumor formation in these cells. To answer these questions, we will take advantage of germline and non-germline genetically engineered mouse models with the Cre-LoxP technology, molecular biology (e.g. the CRISPR/Cas9 technology), animal imaging, and the next generation sequencing technologies (e.g. single cell RNA-seq).
Applicants must have a PhD with a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. We would be glad to receive applications from highly motivated scientists with a strong expertise in developmental biology and neuroscience as well as stem cell biology. The scientist on this position is expected to work independently but collaboratively with internal and external scientists. Excellent communication skill for scientific discussion is indispensable.
