Pay Band 2: €24,761 – €29,130

Job Purpose:

To assist the Individuals Giving team to maximise Concern’s fundraising potential from individuals, to raise income through mass and targeted marketing campaigns and recruit new supporters; to provide excellent donor fulfilment.

Main duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Working as part of the Individuals Giving Team to reach strategic targets and budgets, ensuring that all activity complies with Concern’s policies and procedures and all legislation governing charity activity.
  2. Assist the Individuals Giving Team in the project management of direct marketing campaigns. This will include: sourcing information on overseas projects for campaigns, producing coding and data specifications, copy proofing, abiding to the approvals process, print proofing, briefing Donor Care, and assisting campaign analysis and reporting.
  3. Work with the Individuals Giving Team to implement the Emergency fundraising strategy.
  4. Monitor supporter fulfilment standards to ensure excellence in the provision of customer care.
  5. Liaise with internal/external service providers.
  6. Provide support for the achievement of Individuals Giving unit targets.
  7. Maintain a library of fundraising appeals. Research the fundraising market by developing and cataloguing a library of other charities fundraising appeals.
  8. Undertake project work, campaigns and research as may be required from time to time.

Person specification:

Essential:

  1. Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  2. Good computer skills.
  3. Excellent Excel skills.
  4. Strong writing skills.
  5. Strong teamwork skills.
  6. Strong communications skills.
  7. A third-level qualification in marketing or related discipline.
  8. Experience in direct marketing activities.

Desirable:

  1. Some fundraising experience.
  2. Analytical skills and an aptitude for numbers.
  3. Knowledge of development issues and a commitment to Concern’s work with people in the developing world.
  4. A good understanding of the charity market and environment in which Concern works in Ireland.
