Executive Officer, EU Foreign Policy
Amnesty International’s European Institutions Office (EIO) is looking for an Executive Officer, EU Foreign Policy to join our team. The post-holder will be responsible for devising and implementing Amnesty International’s advocacy strategy on EU Foreign Policy, focusing on the Middle East, North Africa and Gulf, along with Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Pursuing the objective that human rights should be integrated and targeted in all EU external action, the post-holder will assess EU initiatives for lobbying opportunities and develop AI positions along with the organisation’s international secretariat, regional and national offices. In addition to the geographic focus, this position also holds responsibility for working on EU policy on the death penalty.
We are looking for a specialist in EU foreign policy who will be capable of translating EU contexts into advocacy for Amnesty International’s global movement, and who can interact with key decision-makers on behalf of the organisation. The successful candidate will be a strong analytical and strategic thinker, with a keen sense of team spirit.
