Business Development & Product Manager

Assisted by the business unit manager, R&D project leaders, application specialists and sales, you will develop high security ID card solutions that meet the customer needs. You monitor the entire product lifecycle of the product-and project portfolio. You actively contribute to develop the business activities, in existing and new markets and distribution channels.

As Business Development & Product Manager you are responsible for:

  • Developing the strategic business plan and roadmap which supports the growth of the turnover and the profitability of the ID & Security division;
  • Customer satisfaction. You build a strong relationship with key accounts in order to capture their needs and to resolve issues in a timely manner and within the agreed budget;
  • Leading the ID & Security Product Line Team in order to monitor and to steer the project-and product portfolio, that meets the customers’ needs, from conceptual product development until end of life;
  • Working closely together with customers, partners and sales managers in order to capture/understand customer needs, prioritizing business opportunities and translating them to a ROI project plan;
  • Monitoring all product development activities and ID & Security Business targets and escalating when needed;
  • Product launch, in line with the ID & Security business targets. You work out the product positioning (4P’s), USP’s, branding-and marketing strategy;
  • Actively supporting the sales organization with the implementation of the marketing strategy, further development of markets and distribution channels for the ID & Security Product Lines.


  • You have a Master degree in economics or business with a good technical background;
  • Professional experience in the ID & Security market is an advantage;
  • You have 5 years experience in a B2B environment within an international and multi-disciplinary context;
  • You are affiliated with customers and have a good business sense. You can translate this commercial information, in due time, into an R&D environment;
  • You are customer and business driven;
  • You have experience with project management; you are able to deliver the scope within time and budget;
  • You are a result-oriented and accountable team player;
  • You have good inter-personal skills;
  • You have excellent communication skills (oral, written);
  • You are able to deal with change, you have a flexible mindset;
  • You have good knowledge of English. Any other language is an asset;
  • You are willing to travel for shorter periods (+/- 30%).
