Details

The organisation

RenewableUK is the UK’s leading renewable energy trade association, specialising in onshore wind, offshore wind and wave & tidal energy. Formed in 1978, we have an established, large corporate membership ranging from small independent companies, to large international corporations and manufacturers.

Acting as a central point of information and a united, representative voice for our membership, we conduct research; find solutions; organise events, facilitate business development, lobby and promote wind and marine renewables to government, industry, the media and the public.

The role

As Parliamentary Officer you will have a key role in promoting renewable energy to Parliamentarians and opinion formers, and keep track of relevant policy and legislation developments. You will organise the annual RenewableUK Parliamentary Reception, manage a contact programme for the rest of the year and support RenewableUK’s presence at the political party conferences. You will also contribute to RenewableUK publications and draft briefing materials for external and internal audiences. As you develop in the role there will be opportunity to plan and deliver politically focused campaigns relating to specific policy areas.
